Re: Letter of Condemnation to the Speech of Mr. Udayanidhi Stalin, Youth & Sports Minister of the Government of Tamil Nadu

I refer to the above matter.

On behalf of the Malaysia Hindu Sangam & the Hindu community of Malaysia, I wish to record our strong disagreement and condemnation to the speech given by Mr Udhayanidhi Stalin, Youth & Sports Minister of the Government of Tamil Nadu recently during the Sanathana Prevention Conference (Sanathanam Olippu Maanadu).

In his speech he has regarded the Sanathan Dharma similar to mosquito, dengue, malaria and corona and strongly stated that it must be prevented from growing. This in other words means that the Honorable Sports Minister of Tamil Nadu is calling for genocide against follower of the ancient dharma. He has further tarnished the purity of Hinduism which is also known as Sanathan Dharma in his speech. It was such degrading speech a Minister could utter against a religion which is practiced by majority people in India.

As a Minister, he should be Non-Aligned to any believe and serve his duty with impartiality and neutral approach though his party’s ideology seems to be otherwise. This has indirectly raised hatred and anger among Hindus around the world.

This speech by a Tamil Nadu Government Minister, may stir disharmony among the Indian Community and the Hindus who come from different ethnic in this country.

Hence, we once again record our strong condemnation and disagreement on this speech and urge the Government of India to take stern action against this act which is done without respect to the sensitivity of people and responsible speech.
