“Knowledge is Supreme Power” says a Sanskrit verse. Knowledge is the goal of mankind without which, human beings are nothing better than a forest of brutes. Therefore, MHS aims to give every Hindu the knowledge of their scriptures and holy texts to empower them in a culturally challenging world.
This may sound like a paradox. Don’t we have all the knowledge at the click of some buttons or mere touch! There answer is NO!
Religion and spiritual knowledge is not something to bought and read. It has to be acquired through direct contact. Swami Vivekananda said,“The soul can only receive impulses from another soul, and from nothing else. We may study books all our lives, we may become very intellectual, but in the end we find that we have not developed at all spiritually.”
Therefore, realizing that religious knowledge is a prerogative of every Hindu, as part of our propagation agenda, we also conduct religious classes and religious talks in schools and temples in all our 164 branches.
MHS Youth wing are conducting this classes at all our branches to attract more youths in our activities. Various attractive activities like traditional games are introduced among the students.
MHS Women wing focuses on temples where families especially women gather for prayers. Women as mother play a key role in moulding the family with moral, cultural and religious values. Therefore, it is pertinent that the mothers are equipped with knowledge in this respect.
We have also been conducting programmes to train Religious teachers. Annually these trainings are conducted at four zones namely:
- North – Perlis, Kedah, Penang and North Perak
- South – Johor, Melaka and Negeri Sembilan
- Central – Selangor, Wilayah Persekutuan, Pahang and South Perak
- Others States – as required
Training for School Students
– Religious trainings are also conducted for students during schools holidays.
Regular religious classes are being held all over the country by MHS Local councils.
