Malaysia Hindu Sangam breaks its own record in recent Nationwide Blood Donation Campaign organized by MHS National Youth Bureau. This 6th annual event conducted in conjunction with Swami Vivekananda’s 155th Birthday Celebration, alongside with all MHS State, Local Council; Women & Welfare Bureau.
The self-record dashed with 1852 donors in 38 venues this year which breaks the 2017 record of 1838 donors in 32 venues. Total 6279 blood bags have been collected in 6 years time.
Since 2013, the records shows that the number of donors successfully increasing every year. (*Below mentioned details are as reference):
2013 = 8 venues : 314 donors
2014 = 14 venues : 520 donors
2015 = 14 venues : 623 donors
2016 = 24 venues : 1132 donors
2017 = 32 venues : 1838 donors

MHS President Datuk RS Mohan Shan wished his gratitude to Kementerian Kesihatan Malaysia, Pusat Darah Negara and all the donors who have made this event a success. “Great teamwork showed by all the State and Local Councils during this noble event and we need to sustain this unity in coming years,” says the President.
