Pray for Solace and Solidarity

Petaling Jaya, 18 December 2018

Datuk RS Mohan Shan, President of Malaysia Hindu Sangam and Malaysian Consultative Council of Buddhism,Christianity, Hinduism, Sikhism and Taoism (MCCBCHST) request all Malaysians to pray for Muhammad Adib Mohd Kassim who breathed his last at Institut Jantung Negara on17th December at 9.41pm. Mohd Adib was severely injured while on duty as a fireman at the scene of riot which broke out at Sri Maha MariammanTemple, USJ 25, Subang Jaya on 26th November.

We deeply mourn the death of Mohd Adib and pray that his soul may find peace. We also pray that his family may recover soon from their loss. May the Almighty give them solace and strength.

The loss of Mohd Adib is a lesson for us all. We have let our ego and sentiments to run amok at the cost of an innocent life. Now, let us place nation and human life first before anything else.

Everyone who is responsible for this tragedy should be brought before justice. As we have urged earlier, the public have to stop acting on rumours and false news spread in social media. Find the truth from the proper authorities before acting. This time, it has ended the life of a young man and brought pain and loss to his family. Even the family of the offenders will face hardship as the case has been reclassified as murder. We could have averted all this misery, if we have checked our emotions and respected law and order.

Meantime, we humbly request everyone to be calm and pray for the unity and harmony of our beloved nation. It is paramount that we all stay calm in solidarity during moments of crisis to preserve our unity and harmony. One wrong step will bring us all to ruin.  Everyone shall reach God someday, but in our hurry, let us not push anyone down. Peace, peace, peace.

With prayer,

DATUK RS. MOHAN SHAN PMW., JMW.,AMK., BKM., PJK

President, Malaysia Hindu Sangam

President, Malaysian Consultative Council of Buddhism, Christianity, Hinduism, Sikhism and Taoism (MCCBCHST)
