“LET’S WORK TOGETHER FOR THE PROGRESS OF OUR PEOPLE AND RELIGION!” HINDU SANGAM CALLS THE TEMPLE
Kuala Lumpur, November 25 –
It is pertinent that the Hindu community muscle up together for the development and sustenance of the Hindu religion and Hindu temples in Malaysia. This move is essential for the overall well-being of Hindu society.
The new leadership of Malaysia Hindu Sangam is determined to join forces with the Hindu temples to usher in a new era of pluralistic, inclusive Malaysia Malaysia.
The local temples are still facing various difficulties in getting work permits for priests, musicians, and sculptors from India and Sri Lanka.
MHS is ready to help and support the temples in resolving visa issues. The temples could approach the MHS Local Councils and State Councils in their respective area. The temples could seek direct assistance from the MHS Headquarters at Petaling Jaya.
The temples can without hesitation approach MHS for supporting letters. The contact persons for respective Local Councils and State Councils are given on the MHS website, www.malaysiahindusangam.org, and will be shared with the Temples.
As in the past, some temples have been approaching MHS for supporting letters through agents. In such cases, MHS had to do verification prior to releasing the supporting letter. Therefore, the present MHS leadership advises the temples to directly contact MHS Councils instead of sending an agent. MHS also would like to clarify that there are no authorised agents to deal with the temples on any matters.
Therefore, MHS urge the temples that require advice as well as supporting letter for various visa applications, tax exemption, construction of infrastructure, etc. to directly approach MHS Councils in their area or contact the MHS HQ. MHS leaders are ever ready to serve the temples and provide them with proper advice and support.
