CMCO SOP FOR TEMPLES

In view of the third wave and surging number of COVID-19 cases in the country, our Government have announced the Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO) in the state of Selangor and Wilayah Persekutuan (Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya).

Malaysia Hindu Sangam would like to alert all temples to be aware and abide to strict SOPs as stipulated by the authorities.

SOPS TO BE ADHERED AT TEMPLES IN THE CMCO AREAS:

  1. Nitya Poojas
  • All temples in the CMCO areas should be CLOSED. Only Nitya Poojas (morning and evening) can be conducted in temples. The poojas will be conducted by the temple Gurukals only.
  • Devotees are not allowed to go to temple.
  • Devotees are NOT ALLOWED to go to temples in the CMCO areas until further announcements are made by the authorities.

Malaysia Hindu Sangam urges everyone to take the current situation very seriously, also not be careless and complacent, as this may jeopardize the lives of our loved ones, the community and the nation as a whole.
